Jennifer or Penofthepeople, a moniker that has stuck since she began writing, is a new writer with an old soul. She writes her personal stories of grief, loss, and discovery, while other times, it’s a story that needs to be told. “THINGS” is her first published work. Released in December of 2021, it is a visual poetry collection to show how anxiety tends to veer into a thousand little branches rather than being moment to moment.
She is a new author, but her work has impacted the writing communities. She has been featured on The Well, FACEing Mental Illness Podcast, The Author Show, 105 Publishing, and the ArtsXchange in Georgia. “THINGS” has hit Top 100 on Amazon in the categories of Poetry by Women, Love Poems, Women’s Poetry, and Top 100 on Kindle with a strong presence on the Top 100 list in Audible within her genre. In addition, THINGS is currently circulating within the Sarasota Country Library System.
The work she creates is set to give a voice to those feelings that might not have the power of speech to convey their sentiments. She hopes to bring strength and elegance to the raw elements inside us all.
